Getting to LA RIPA from PORTA NUOVA

We believe that taking a nice walk or using public transportation is a wonderful way to experience Bergamo better. Here are the options you have to reach the restaurant:

• BY FOOT - More challenging, fun, social, and a good workout. Requires suitable shoes. Approximately 1 hour.

Walk along Viale Vittorio Emanuele to the funicular, then take the stairs here: Via Salita della Scaletta (a bit steep but very picturesque). At the top, continue on Via Dei Tre Armi to Via Sudorno.

• BY BUS - About 20 minutes.

Take bus 1 from Porta Nuova in front of Chiesa delle Grazie: Bus Stop Location, and get off at La Marianna. (You can buy tickets here - ATB POINT) Walk through Porta Sant’Alessandro, past the San Vigilio funicular, and up Via Sudorno.

• BY FUNICOLAR - This enjoyable route takes about 40 minutes total.

Walk to the funicular from Porta Nuova (15 min), buy a ticket, and ride up. From Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe, walk directly to Via Sudorno. (15 min)
